We Survived

a second 4th Birthday party for Tony (that's what his friends call him). It still seems foreign to me because he will always be Anthony. Last night we had some neighbor kids, daycare kids and one boy from Vacation Bible School come over for the party. The weather was touchy. It was gray and looked like it might pour down on us at any minute. We decided at about 1 minute before the party to go ahead and put the plates, napkins, balloons, etc outside. Mother nature did not disappoint...it never rained. We ordered pizza for this party because with working a full day, a home cooked meal was not going to happen. We did make fruit kabobs though. They are so pretty, it's almost hard to eat them. Anthony's best friends from daycare came, Erin & Chloe. It's sad for me because Erin starts Kindergarten next week and Chloe starts at a Montessori school & daycare next week. I've tried to tell Anthony that they are leaving but I don't think he quite understands. Thank goodness he starts preschool too so he'll probably make new friends. Back to the party...it's so fun to let the kids play together and easier for the parents too. They desperately wanted to go IN the house last night. Erin said "I just can't wait to go IN!" We decided to do the cake & ice cream inside so they could fulfill their dreams. It was hilarious to watch this stream of about 8 kids running down the stairs to the toy room only to turn around and scream, "we want to see Tony's car bed". I asked "How do you know about that?" One of the mom's said, "they talk, you know". At one point we had about 6 kids in Tony's Cozy Coupe car bed. Of course by the time I got the camera they were all scattered. This party planning is fun for me. I love doing it but I'm actually relieved it's all done. What a wonderful husband I have too. Terry helps with everything! He never complains and works his butt off!! Kudos to him.
I promise pictures are coming! We're finally getting high speed Internet at home this weekend.
