The Eagles!
I am writing this blog entry as I am just getting home from the Eagles concert at Target Center in Minneapolis. It's 12:15 am and normally I would have been asleep for 2-3 hours but not tonight...I am too wired. What a fantastic show. Those guys can really rock. Shortly after the show started Glenn Frye announced that this was the "Eagles Assisted Living" show. He had everyone laughing. Terry's personal favorite was when Don Henley sang "Hotel California". I would have a harder time choosing just one. I loved "Life's Been Good". I have to say I have a new found admiration for Joe Walsh. That man can play the guitar like no one I've ever seen. He was certainly the most colorful of the group with a different guitar for every single song and such crazy facial expressions. Timothy B Schmidt also wowed us with his beautiful voice. Of course we can't forget my "guys" Glenn Frye and Don Henley. A few years ago the Eagles were playing here in Minneapolis and we couldn't afford to go. We vowed that if they ever came back we would somehow make it happen. It was truly a dream come true for Terry & I to see them and it was our anniversary gift to each other. What a memorable night! A big thank you to Grandma Bonnie too who helped us out by staying with our little guys. Now if only I would have seen the Bee Gees when they were all still around...I'd be set.
