Feeling Much Better

I want to thank all my friends and family members who assured me I would be okay. I feel so much better about my thyroid issues now. I'm not near as nervous. I still wish I didn't have to be on medication for the rest of my life but it is what it is. I know God does not give me more than I can handle and from past experience...I can handle A LOT. I'm grateful for all of you (you know who you are) but especially my cousin T who I love a lot. She is also "dealing with" thyroid issues. I'll keep you all posted on my progress. I am currently trying to get scheduled with an Endocrinologist. The first one my Dr. referred me to can't get me in until April! I will certainly be trying a different Dr.

Have your dr. order the RI Scan and do that now. That way you have the results when you go to the endo and you don't end up waiting for that to be done. Oh, take the images and final report with you. Also have your dr. office make the appt. They have the power to get you in faster. Endos are hard to get into, my experience is generally 3 months wait. He may be able to get you on meds after the scan, then you just have the endo fine tune things with the meds. love ya,

I meant to warn you that lots of endocrinologists have RIDICULOUS wait lists...I discovered that when they thought I had a goiter (long story-- false alarm!). I was going to email you today to see how you were doing, but glad I checked the blog first!!!!
