I am so happy to say we have tulips! We planted about 40 tulip bulbs last Fall for Terry. This is something he has always wanted. I'd say almost all of them are blooming as we speak. We have white, red, yellow and just today pink. They are gorgeous. I HAVE TO get the camera out there (in all my free time) and snap some pictures. We have been quite the gardeners lately. We are attempting a vegetable garden again this year. This is the first time since Alberto joined our family. We felt like, now we might be able to swing it because he's old enough to play outside or "help". We started seeds inside about a month ago and everything came up, looked great and since we transplanted them outside this weekend...nothing looks very healthy. We can always still plant seeds outside if they don't turn around. This year we have: broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, watermelon, green beans, tomato, green pepper and for fun SUNFLOWERS. We love fresh veggies and we have just a small amount of each so I really hope they take off. We also bought Lily Trees this year and a couple of continually blooming Lilac bushes. I can't wait to see those grow. The Lily trees are supposed to get to about 6-8' tall when full grown in a few years. We replaced our downed Quaking Aspen this weekend too with a new one. Now if we can avoid tornadoes in our neck of the woods, we should be golden.
Another exciting development at the Ludwig house is that we are all members of the YMCA now. We decided to join as a family so that Mommy could work out without all the guilt of leaving the boys and Daddy at home. It will also make swim lessons much more affordable. We have really enjoyed it so far. Well Albi, not as much as the rest of us but he is getting used to it. He is not quite as adventurous and outgoing as Anthony so it's harder for him to warm up to others. There is one very nice, grandmotherly lady that works there and she has kind of taken him under her wing. That helps tremendously. He likes Deb.
I'll post pics soon!

I love, love, love lilacs so much too...the smell immediately brings me back to my parents house in WI. Last year for my bday my mom found a certain kind that can tolerate the heat in GA (Zone 8 or 9) and sent 3 to me! They are doing well, though they haven't bloomed yet. She told me when you first plant them it can take several years for them to actually bloom, so we'll see. They are certainly growing, however, so that's good.
Can't wait to see pics of the tulips. Nothing says Spring like tulips...
