Memorial Day Riverboat Ride

It has been so hard lately to find the time to blog. I feel like I have to play a little "catch up" now. We had a relaxing and really good visit with "Abu" this Memorial Day weekend. She came up from Iowa to help us with the boys. Anthony's daycare was closed for a few days so he and Abu had some time to bond, play, bake and just enjoy each other's company. I don't think he wanted to go back to daycare after Abu left:) I took a couple of afternoons off to spend more time with them as well. We couldn't have ordered better weather. It was sunny and in the 70's the whole time she was visiting, except that one day when it was in the 90's!
On Memorial Day we took Abu on the Jonathan Padelford Riverboat. We shared a table with another family who had 2 little girls. Anthony quickly made friends with Samantha who was 5. Albi sure loved her too. There were many times the 3 of them ran around holding hands. I think she was Anthony's first girl friend, if only for a day. She was a good pick. The kids chased each other all over the boat, up, down, all around. It was fun. Samantha had a little sister too (Alexandra) but I think she was a bit "under the weather" that day.
