I have to Blog about Something!

I feel guilty that I haven't blogged more in the past couple of months. It really does get so busy with extra "stuff" around the holidays. The Christmas cards, last minute shopping, wrapping, party hosting, etc has taken its toll.
We've had some fun holidays. We spent a lovely evening with our friends Nikki, Ryan, Coop & Cal at our home for a pre-Xmas party. We had pizza, cupcakes, beer & wine and exchanged gifts. We have so much fun with them since they also have 2 little boys. Coop is Anthony's "best friend" and Cal is Alberto's "baby best friend" as Anthony would say. Then we hosted the Ludwig's at our home for that Christmas. It turned out great! The boys love their new Smart Cycle. I should say Anthony loves it and uses it and Alberto just like to sit on it or pull Anthony off when HE sits on it. Hey I figure it's just one more thing for them to scream at each other about. You can never have too much of that. ha ha The boys also added to their Geo Trax collection with some additional "roller coasters" and now planes. They LOVE playing with them and it's fun for Mommy & Daddy to add to them. I hate to keep bringing completely NEW toys into the mix. You know?
After all of those parties, it was off to IA for 5 days. We had a wonderful visit with my parents, celebrated my Dad & Uncle's 75th b-days and saw some friends from high school. It was cool seeing familiar faces I had not seen in 10-20 years. I can't believe I'm that old. I never feel old but I did notice when my hands get dry, they look wrinkly. That is no good!!!! Bring on the lotion.
Anthony still enjoys preschool although not as Gung Ho as before. I have to coax him a little now. Yesterday he was so concerned that he would have to go to Kindergarten if he continued to go to preschool so therefore did not want to go to preschool. I assured him he does not have to go to Kindergarten anytime soon. He'll be a 2010 enrollee since his birthday is in late August.
Alberto (my baby no matter what anyone says) is now 2. It's hard for Mommy to watch the time tick by. He is still so cuddly, when I can wrestle him down. We often snuggle but mostly just at bed time and nap time. He is still very partial to his Mommy. I feel sad for Terry at times but he seems to take it in stride. Anthony however is all about equal opportunity. If he didn't see Terry at night because he worked late or played hockey he will ask Daddy to read to him because he missed him. It's very logical and sweet at the same time.
Well I better get back to work. I will upload pictures real soon. Of course I have to remember to do that at home since I'm trying to not bring those to my work computer. Happy New Year everyone!
