It's been a very busy couple of weeks for us. We had a blast celebrating my 20 year high school reunion on 6/20. How fun it was to see old friends and laugh and get reacquainted. It was held at the Fairfax Legion which was perfect for a casual get together. They had a delicious, hot meal, and plenty of beer to go around. Terry & I had a very rare night out and even stayed at a hotel for the evening. Thanks to Abu and Papa for taking great care of the boys (even the pest, Ziggy). Apparently the little boys were wonderful and Ziggy was a nervous wreck keeping them up most of the night. He is definitely Terry's dog and I'm sure was looking for him all night.
Then this past weekend, we went back to IA for a friend's wedding. Nancy and Ted were married on Saturday in a very traditional Catholic ceremony. It was a big wedding, lots of family and friends. Nancy's new husband is one of 11 kids so you can imagine he had a ton of family there. It was so nice to relax and catch up with Annie, Erin, Toni, Nancy (a little) and so many others. We even had a chance to play tribute to Michael Jackson and as we boogied to "PYT". He can still rock the house!
The boys are starting to get their prerequisite cuts & scrapes-- falling off bikes, running clumsily, using step stools to reach things they shouldn't. The blood.
It has been downright HOT around here lately, and we're having a blast doing the Splash Pads in IA, our pool at home and lots of various sprinklers. The sweat.
Our youngest and littlest Ludwig, might cry for a couple of seconds when he hurts himself but he is a tough cookie. He almost immediately says "all better" but if there were tears involved he always asks us to "wipe my cryin's off". I love it when he says it, it is so cute. The tears.
