Happy 4th of July!

Dear Family & Friends,
I want to wish you all a safe, fun & happy 4th of July. To everyone I love in Cedar Rapids, I sincerely hope this holiday can bring some joy into your lives that have been turned upside down with all the flooding. I wish I could be there to help you and support you. Go Floodstock! I know when I come in August it will still be such a sad sight for me. Cedar Rapids will always be "home" for me. We will be at Pocket Lake with Terry's mom and much of his extened family. I'm hoping for hot, sunny days so we can enjoy the lake. To Abu, last night Anthony was telling Cooper (our neighbor boy) that "my grandma's name is Abu". The night before he was telling me that "Abu is his little buddy". We love you Abu! For those who don't know, my Mom is a wonderful lady. She puts forth so much of her time and love for us. This lady has made it her mission to see Anthony & Alberto about every 6 weeks since they were born. She wanted to make sure they knew her and boy- do they! We are thankful every day for this Independent Lady I call "mom" and my boys call "Abu". In honor of Indepence Day, we honor Abu. XXOO, Jasmine

That sweeet tribute to your mom made me well up! She is a great woman and so dedicated to her grandsons. :)

She told me she cried too. She is truly the most independent woman I know.
